The Young Leaders Advisory Board (Y-LAB) met for the last time this year to reflect on 2024.

The Y-LAB reviewed the 2024 strategy and reflected on feedback from the Young Rail Professionals Balls; considered opportunities to better engage with young rail professionals; developed a communications plan, and commenced planning for the next Y-LAB webinar.

The Y-LAB also undertook a site visit to the historic Flinders Street Station and saw behind the scenes of the operation control room and clock tower and then visited the new and soon-to-be-opening Arden station with trials of platform screen doors underway. The two stations demonstrated the extreme differences of infrastructure age and the impact on maintenance requirements and operational considerations as part of the one rail network.
