ARA Delegation to InnoTrans Berlin 2026
Sunday 20 – Friday 25 September 2026
The ARA will lead a delegation of members and key stakeholders to InnoTrans Berlin 2026.
In 2024, more than 160 individuals from 86 organisations participated in the ARA delegation to InnoTrans.
InnoTrans is the world’s leading international trade fair for transport technology, held biennially in Berlin, Germany. It brings together global leaders across rail infrastructure, rolling stock, digital systems, sustainability, and mobility innovation.
InnoTrans Berlin 2026 presents a strategic opportunity to position Australia’s rail industry on the global stage, establish new or strengthen existing international partnerships, and accelerate innovation and investment outcomes.
The ARA-led delegation to InnoTrans Berlin 2026 will:
1. Promote Australia’s rail capability
Showcase Australian expertise, innovation, and project experience across passenger, freight, and heavy haul rail.
2. Enable international engagement
Facilitate structured engagement between Australian delegates and global suppliers, operators, and policymakers.
3. Support Industry growth and exports
Create pathways for ARA member companies to access international markets, partnerships, and supply chains.
4. Strengthen policy and thought leadership
Engage with global best practice in rail technology, sustainability, and workforce development, and translate insights back to the Australian context.
5. Deliver value for delegation members
Provide a coordinated, high-quality experience that delivers tangible commercial, strategic, and reputational benefits for participating organisations.

- 1830 – 2130: ARA delegation welcome dinner (separate ticket required). Partnership opportunity available.
Pre-InnoTrans – Monday 21 September
- Berlin-based site visits and/or European market briefings (details TBA)
InnoTrans Day 1 – Tuesday 22 September
- 0900 – 1800: ARA Australian Rail Pavilion open
- 0900 – 1430: Barista at the ARA Australian Rail Pavilion, hosted by Inver Engineering
- TBD: Australian delegation visits to two major exhibitors
- 1400 – 1530: Aussie afternoon tea at the ARA Australian Rail Pavilion. Partnership opportunity available.
InnoTrans Day 2 – Wednesday 23 September
- 0900 – 1800: ARA Australian Rail Pavilion open
- 0900 – 1430: Barista at the ARA Australian Rail Pavilion, hosted by Inver Engineering
- 1200 – 1330: Lunch at the ARA Australian Rail Pavilion. Partnership opportunity available.
- TBD: Australian delegation visits to two major exhibitors
InnoTrans Day 3 – Thursday 24 September
- 0900 – 1800: ARA Australian Rail Pavilion open
- 0900 – 1430: Barista at the ARA Australian Rail Pavilion, hosted by Inver Engineering
- 0900 – 1030: Breakfast at the ARA Australian Rail Pavilion, hosted by John Holland Group
- TBD: Australian delegation visits to two major exhibitors
- 1830 – 2130: Australian Delegation dinner at Hofbräu Wirtshaus Berlin (separate ticket required)
InnoTrans Day 4 – Friday 25 September
- 0900 – 1800: ARA Australian Rail Pavilion open
- 0900 – 1430: Barista at the ARA Australian Rail Pavilion, hosted by Inver Engineering
ARA members – $990 no GST
Non-ARA members – $2490 no GST
Participation in the ARA delegation provides:
Australian Rail Pavilion Access and Facilities
- Use of the Australian Rail Pavilion as a dedicated base throughout InnoTrans
- Access to the Australian Rail Pavilion for meetings, including the ability to book one of three meeting rooms available exclusively to delegation members
- Use of the pavilion’s open seating areas for informal meetings, networking and connecting with other delegation members
- Access to shared pavilion facilities, including Wi-Fi, refreshments and event support throughout InnoTrans

- Invitations to attend networking functions hosted at the Australian Rail Pavilion during InnoTrans
