Sustainability Guide
With benefits ranging from improved air quality to decongestion on our roads, rail is already an inherently sustainable mode of transport. The industry is continuing to seek opportunities to further enhance sustainability practices in the industry.
The ARA’s Sustainability Guide provides an ideal starting point for businesses in the rail industry looking to take the next steps on their sustainability journey. Designed with small and medium sized members in mind, the Guide introduces a range of core sustainability concepts, supported by definitions and specific examples of applications in the rail industry. The Guide also includes a range of case study examples from rail across Australia and globally, demonstrating the diversity of actions which can be implemented in support of a more sustainable future, regardless of the size of an organisation.
Key topics featured in the Sustainability Guide include:
- Leadership
- Decarbonisation
- The Circular Economy
- Climate Change Adaptation
- People and Diversity
