The ARA’s Safety Policy Committee met on Monday, bringing together very senior safety representatives from around the country to progress policy issues. It is a forum that facilitates a two-way dialogue with law makers, the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR), investigators, as well as sharing between rail companies.  

This week, items at the top of the agenda included the review of the Rail Safety National Law, the update to the National Standard for Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers, safety managing e-scooters on and around our networks, as well as sharing of best practice. Thank you to this industry’s safety leaders who are working to make sure we all get home safe each day.
