The ARA has partnered with UK-based Libusa Academy to deliver an online course, Railway Software Safety as a Client. 

This course has been customised to meet the Australian rail industry’s needs, as well as global software safety standards, to ensure that the introduction of new software and technologies into our railway is as safe as reasonably practical.  

The ARA hopes to make the course available to industry towards the end of this year. 

The masterclass will cover how to manage software safety, through project delivery, approvals, operation and maintenance, as well as key requirements in international rail standards and Australian law.
