The ARA hosted Katie Spearritt, CEO of Diversity Partners to present on the research and findings of the Progressing gender equality in the Australasian rail industry report in a webinar. Katie outlines the experiences of people working in the rail industry, some best practice initiatives that are supporting a more gender inclusive environment, and recommendations for individuals, organisations and industry collective.

Everyone in the industry is encouraged to watch the webinar and read the report and take initiative in further educating themselves, and be a catalyst for positive change. The ARA via the Women in Rail Committee will be leading the proposed initiatives outlined as part of industry recommendations, and we encourage rail organisations to partner with us to ensure we create a more sustainable, productive and safe work environment for all.
