The ARA has awarded six young rail professionals scholarships to attend the ARA High Speed Rail Conference 2024, held in Sydney Wednesday 16 – Thursday 17 October.

The High Speed Rail Conference is an invaluable opportunity to understand the future challenges and opportunities to deliver high-speed rail in Australia.
The conference will hear from keynote speaker Tim Parker, Chief Executive Officer, High Speed Rail Authority.
Industry and government experts will present on subjects such as sustainability, funding models, customer experience, the economic benefit expected from the Sydney to Newcastle project and lessons learnt from other major Australian infrastructure projects.
The conference will also include panel discussions as well as presentations on developing and operating high-speed rail overseas, including in the UK, UAE, Italy, Germany, France, Japan, USA, Taiwan, Spain and China.
