The Infrastructure Net Zero Collaboration has released a new consultation report on defining infrastructure net zero, with industry invited to provide feedback by 30 November. The report seeks to establish clear, industry-wide definitions for net zero infrastructure to ensure a unified approach to the decarbonisation challenge.
This is the first project to be delivered as part of the Infrastructure Net Zero collaboration, which brings together key peak bodies and government agencies to accelerate decarbonisation in the sector. The ARA was a founding member of the collaboration.
A consistent definition will support improved measurement and reporting across the sector to help accelerate progress.
The report was developed by Mott Macdonald in collaboration with Infrastructure Net Zero partners and will be finalised in the new year. The consultation draft is available here.
The ARA’s members can provide feedback by completing a survey on the report by 30 November 2024. Alternatively, please contact ARA General Manager Sustainability Joeley Pettit to discuss in more detail.
