The National Transport Commission (NTC) is publicly consulting on the proposed amendment to the Rail Safety National Law (RSNL) Regulations to include the regulatory requirement for rail transport operators to have an Interoperability Management Plan.

The ARA has been working very closely with the NTC on behalf of industry on significant reforms as part of the National Rail Action Plan to address constraints to the rail industry due to interoperability. Consultation is now open to industry to provide feedback on the first of a series of proposed amendments to the Rail Safety National Law (RSNL) Regulations.

Consultation is open for a six-week period, closing Friday 4 October. Further details and a link to the consultation documents can be found on the NTC website.
