The steering committee for the Infrastructure Net Zero collaboration met this week to discuss key projects nearing completion and plan its 2025 priorities.
The committee discussed the outcomes of public consultation on new research to define infrastructure net zero, with the final version of the report expected to be released early in 2025.
The launch of new net zero skills research was also discussed, and is expected to be released in the coming months.
The ARA is a founding member of Infrastructure Net Zero, which is a collaboration formed last year of private sector peak bodies and three federal agencies to co-ordinate, collaborate and report on Australian infrastructure’s pathway to net zero.
This collaboration recognises the shared responsibility of decarbonisation and the opportunity to create an aligned and effective use of collective time, resources, and expertise to accelerate the highest-priority initiatives to drive lasting policy change and industry innovation.
