The ARA is asking members to assist with our research underway on engagement with First Nations employees, suppliers and contractors.
The ARA has engaged Social Traders, with partners Humanize Media and Akina, to deliver a project identifying enablers and barriers to First Nations participation in the rail industry.
An online survey has been distributed to all member organisations to collect information on hiring practices, policies, and engagement with First Nations employees, suppliers, and contractors. Even if you do not currently have policies or hiring data for this area, your response is still important.
The data collection for this project is well underway, including surveys and one-on-one interviews to explore First Nations individuals’ lived experiences in the rail sector.
All responses received will help us paint a more accurate picture of the rail industry’s current engagement levels. If you would like to complete the survey and have not received a link, please contact ARA Policy Manager Lauren Ascah as soon as possible. All survey results will be aggregated and de-identified prior to publication.
