For the first time AusRAIL 2024 will feature 14 concurrent conference sessions covering topics such as asset management, passenger/light rail, workforce and diversity, technology, sustainability, innovation, and rail safety.

The second day at AusRAIL 2024, which is being held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre from Monday 25 November to Wednesday 27 November, will have seven technical concurrent sessions including RTAA (track), IRSE, PWI, RTSA, TrackSAFE, rollingstock, and workforce development.

The RTAA (track) session stream will examine track substructure maintenance management (SuMM), derailment containment devices, and maintenance machine stabling. The IRSE session stream will also explore testing and operational readiness for digital systems in Sydney, CBTC signalling technology, and operations and maintenance in an era of in-cab signalling.

For those interested in rollingstock, this session stream will review end user engagement for better rollingstock, the crash worthiness of light-rail vehicles under safety standards, and what Blue Crude could mean for the freight industry.
