Gender diversity in rail featured in an ABC story in North Queensland about the state’s first female tilt train driver and in an AFR story on a panel discussion ARA CEO Caroline Wilkie participated in at the AFR Workforce Summit this week.
ARA General Manager, Diversity and Supply Chain, Natalie Currey, was interviewed by ABC radio about the ARA’s initiatives to improve gender equality and inclusiveness in rail and fill workforce gaps, including the industry-first code of conduct under development.
ARA CEO Caroline Wilkie was quoted in the AFR on Tuesday on the need to increase gender diversity, to ensure a greater future pool of talent in the rail industry. The story was based on the AFR Workforce Summit’s lively panel discussion on gender diversity, a topic of a major discussion at the Summit in Sydney. Business leaders said they saw great value in pursuing diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
