Paul is a passionate, experienced leader with a track record of implementing and executing a broad range of technical projects. With a hands on approach to all stages of a project to ensure delivery of innovative solutions to a range of products and service challenges. Paul is an industrial chemist who spent more than a decade bringing new solar technologies to international markets, prior to joining the rail industry in 2018.

Since joining the ARA in 2024 Paul has led the national Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Program, supporting rail organisations to manage worker competence, meet regulatory requirements and strengthen safety outcomes across the sector. He works closely with operators, contractors and industry partners to ensure the RIW Program remains responsive to industry needs and continues to provide a consistent, reliable platform for workforce competency management. Paul also supports the ARA’s broader workforce capability agenda through ongoing engagement with members, technology providers and government stakeholders.
