As Laing O’Rourke’s General Manager Rail for the Australia hub, I have more than 30 year’s experience working in around the rail networks of the UK and Australia. With a career that started in British Rail, I worked my way through the ranks enjoying roles leading Business units and in key schemes like the UK’s West Coast Route Modernisation project before bringing my family to Australia in 2009. My role now sees me lead the Strategic direction of Laing O’Rourke’s national rail business and I am passionate about bring our rail professionals together to deliver iconic projects and excellence in rail.

David has been appointed as an Industry Sector Director of the ARA and is Chair of the ARA’s Rail Infrastructure Contractor’s Executive Committee (RICEC).
