Young Rail Professionals Forum


The Australasian Railway Association (ARA) together with its ARA member partners have held Young Rail Professional Forums  in 2017 and 2018 to recognise and support the value, importance and qualities of young professionals in the rail sector. Collectively, the rail sector must harness the right skills required for the future, to ensure the industry's viability and relevance. Rail has entering an exciting period as a result of unprecedented investment and expansion. This transformation provides rail with the unique opportunity to embrace change and improve age diversity in the rail workforce, and we believe that everyone has a role to play in the journey.

Young professionals and managers are encouraged to participate, network and gain wisdom from industry panellists. Forums have recently been held on career development pathways and benefits of mentoring. 

The Australasian Railway Association (ARA) and SNC-Lavalin Atkins invite young professionals who work in rail and their managers, as well as those interested in pursuing a career in rail to attend the Young Rail Professionals Forum to be held in Brisbane on Tuesday, 16 April 2019.
