The ARA has been invited to join Freight Victoria’s new Industry Stakeholder Reference Group to provide industry wide perspectives in developing the refreshed Victorian Freight Plan. Together with representatives from the Port of Melbourne, ALC, VECCI, VFF and others, ARA GM Rail Freight and Heavy Haul Georgia Nicholls provided feedback on plan scope and objectives.

The ARA will meet separately with Freight Victoria to brief them on the relevant results from the Future of Freight report, and work with freight members to prepare a thoughtful and comprehensive rail freight sector submission in collaboration with the Freight on Rail Group (FORG).
