The ARA is seeking speakers for a Light Rail Conference on Wednesday, 31 July and a High Speed Rail Conference in October this year.
With the development of networks in Sydney, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Canberra, light rail is proving to be a resounding success in Australia.
The ARA is keen to hear from speakers on lessons learnt in project delivery, integration with existing infrastructure or how to maximise benefits to customers and communities.
The ARA Light Rail Conference will be held at Rydges World Square in Sydney.
The ARA High Speed Rail Conference will also be held in Sydney, on Wednesday, 16 October and Thursday 17 October, with a venue to be confirmed. High speed rail has brought significant environmental, social and economic benefits to communities across the world. However, high speed rail has been a hotly debated topic in Australia for many years.
Strong population growth, especially in our cities, and the costs of technology reducing, mean our public transport decision-makers are increasingly focused on sustainable options. With the High Speed Rail Authority in the process of developing a Sydney-Newcastle business case by the end of this year, this is a highly relevant forum which will include updates on the latest developments and presentations from key decision-makers and technical experts.
To apply, please submit your name, title, organisation and a short summary of the key takeaways your proposed presentation would provide for attendees.
Applications will close
