The ARA’s Modern Slavery Network met this week to discuss measures industry is taking to prevent modern slavery in the rail supply chain.
The Network discussed Federal Government plans to establish an Australian Anti-Slavery Commissioner, following a briefing on the Government’s Modern Slavery Act reforms at the Network’s most recent meeting last year.
The Network will meet again later in the year to continue to provide opportunities for information sharing and collaboration on this issue.
