The ARA’s Management Plan Working Group met on Thursday to discuss opportunities to streamline the approach to management plans during rail project tenders in order to address cost and resourcing implications.

The group heard from jurisdictions on their current procurement requirements including the processes for tenders, evaluation consideration, prioritisation, level of detail required and any pre-approval required. The objective is to get a better understanding of the procurement process in order to explore options for greater harmonisation. The group also heard from Transport for NSW on its current approach and will hear from TMR & ARTC over the next few months.
