The Infrastructure Net Zero collaboration, of which the ARA is a founding member, has released a new report confirming a common definition for infrastructure net zero.
The report, Solid Foundation – A common definition for net zero infrastructure and how to get there, also outlines measurement and reporting frameworks and provides guidance on how to use them.
It was released in Adelaide on Tuesday following extensive industry consultation and comes as new policies and regulations increase the focus on sustainability reporting on infrastructure projects and for large organisations within the rail industry.
It aligns with the PAS 2080:2023 framework, and is consistent with state and national policies to track, measure and report on infrastructure emissions.
