The ARA Future Leaders and their sponsors met online this week for an Executive Sponsorship webinar.  

The ARA Future Leaders Program 2025 is as an exclusive program, equipping young emerging leaders with the concepts, tools, networks and self-awareness needed for a successful leadership journey. 

During the webinar, participants learnt how sponsorship enables future leaders to gain the visibility, support and exposure to new opportunities necessary for their progression. The webinar also outlined the role of both sponsors and those people they are sponsoring and the guidelines to ensure a successful partnership relationship. 

Participants heard from panellists who were experienced sponsors in the industry, who shared their knowledge and tips, and from people who had been sponsored who shared the outcomes of their journeys and lessons learnt. Professional development combined with sponsorship ensures that we are cultivating internal talent and strengthening the future leadership pipeline within the rail industry.
