The ARA is excited to announce that applications for the 2025 Women in Rail Professional Development scholarships are now open.
The scholarships are available for women from ARA member organisations across Australia and New Zealand.
Two categories of scholarship are on offer:
The Women Rising Program
- Open to women with 5+ years of work experience, who wish to improve their confidence, resilience and leadership skills in the workplace.
- Delivered 100% online from 31 March – 18 July 2025, this opportunity is particularly valuable for women based in regional areas who might otherwise miss out on opportunities for events and programs based in capital cities

Chief Executive Women Leaders Program
- Open to women with 15+ years of work experience, who are looking to take the next step to maximise their leadership potential and expand their career opportunities.
- Delivered in-person over two sperate three-day blocks (six days total), with options available in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Program commencement dates are dependent on the applicant’s preferred city.
