The ARA’s Biodiversity Network met this week to hear a presentation from the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water on nature positive law reforms currently underway.

The reforms will include the development of six new National Environmental Standards and will see the establishment of an independent national environmental protection agency.

The Network heard how the rail industry can engage in the consultation process currently underway, and discussed how the transition process is expected to be managed. Find out more about the reforms here.

The Network also discussed opportunities for information sharing and collaboration between ARA members during 2024.
