Rail Careers Week

Rail Careers Week is coordinated by the Australasian Railway Association and was established in 2014 with the primary objective of encouraging individuals to consider a career in the rail sector. This year, Rail Careers Week will take place between 20 and 24 November. The theme for 2017 is 'Rail - The place to be'.

The aim of the Week is to promote and raise awareness about the network of career opportunities available in the rail industry, provide information about what a career in rail looks like, why individuals should choose a career in rail, what employers look for from candidates and how individuals can get further information and/or apply for a job. The campaign encourages people of all ages and experiences to consider the rail industry as a place to work and advance their career.

We encourage you to get involved in Rail Careers Week by holding an event, promote Rail Careers Week on your website and social media channels, issue a media release, post and promote job opportunities, engage with stakeholders, such as school groups and/or promote your organisations activities at AusRAIL PLUS 2017.

Further information on how to promote Rail Careers Week is available on the Rail Careers website.

Keep us informed on what you have planned for Rail Careers Week by emailing us at ara@ara.net.au so we can help you promote your activities through the ARA's social media channels and the 'Rail Careers Week - What's on' section of the Rail Careers website.
