Rail Careers Week

Rail Careers Week is coordinated by the Australasian Railway Association and was established in 2014 with the primary objective of encouraging individuals to consider a career in the rail sector. The aim of the Week is to promote and raise awareness about the network of career opportunities available in the rail industry, provide information about what a career in rail looks like, why individuals should choose a career in rail, what employers look for from candidates and how individuals can get further information and/or apply for a job. The campaign encourages people of all ages and experiences to consider the rail industry as a place to work and advance their career.

Rail Careers Week 2017 was held from 20 to 24 November with the theme: 'Rail - The place to be'. A summary of Rail Careers Week 2017 activities is available on the Rail Careers website.

Dates for Rail Careers Week 2018 are yet to be determined, but we encourage you to start thinking about how your organisation can be involved. Further information on the benefits of Rail Careers Week and promotion ideas is available on the Rail Careers website.
