Light Rail 2021

The ARA will host the Light Rail 2021 Conference on 17-18 March 2021 at the Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney.
The Conference will bring together operators, manufacturers, contractors and industry and government stakeholders of every level across the light rail sector. Attendees will hear cutting-edge case studies, project updates and learn from successful projects in Australasia and the world.

Terms of Payment for Events

Payment is required within 14 days of receipt of registration, and must be received prior to the event.


The ARA annual conference is the largest rail event in the southern hemisphere.

Alternating each year between AusRAIL PLUS, a three-day conference and attached exhibition and AusRAIL, held over two days, this event brings the rail industry in Australia and New Zealand together as well as attracting speakers, conference attendees and visitors from across the world.



Due to the continuing uncertainty relating to the evolving COVID-19 situation, ARA courses will not be going ahead for the remainder of 2020. The courses will be rescheduled in 2021, new dates will be promoted in the ARA Weekly Update and Event Alert emails when confirmed.


The ARA organises and hosts a number of events for the Australasian rail industry.
