Lauren Ascah
I am a sustainability and diversity professional with a background in consulting and environmental science for the infrastructure sector. With project experience across Australia, Canada and Malaysia, my international perspective has informed a firsthand understanding of how policy, regulation, and local culture can impact sustainability and diversity initiatives in the workplace.
A self-professed train-enthusiast, I bring my passion for sustainability and gender equity to my work as Policy Manager at the ARA. Notable projects include the Rail Gender Equity Charter, the Rollingstock Decarbonisation Critical Path, and the Climate Resilience Framework for rail. I also manage the ARA’s Women in Rail and Sustainability Committees – coordinating inputs and expertise from across the broad range of ARA member organisations, to inform policy and advocacy work.
